by Rob Segal · 09/16/2007 (8:10 pm) · 7 comments

Greetings GG community. Wanted to let you know about the next TIG Toronto meetup. Full details can be found in our GGE group here.

The quick and dirt details are...

Thursday October 11th, 6pm - 9pm @ 655 Bay St, 3rd floor, Art Lab 4 (AiTO).

Signs will posted to direct you on arrival. We talk some Torque stuff and have some people present on various Torque technologies and/or concepts. More verbose details on what TIG Toronto is all about can be found in my blog post for the last TIG meet in August.

If you have any questions please let me know. If you are planning on attending and have a camera please bring it! We are lacking media for these get togethers.

Greetings!

It's a shame it is during IGC. It would have been interesting to attend.

Hey that's a good point Dave however we'll be having these regularly (every 2 months) so there's always the opportunity to attend the next meet. Maybe at the next TIG meet you can give us an overview of how the IGC went?

I would be interested in attending a meeting, but there ain't a snowballs hope in hell of getting up to Toronto on a Thursday night (Im 4 hours away)... Do you guys ever have these things on the weekend?

I agree with Chris... a 5 hour drive from up here is pretty rough, and while possible with my work schedule, a weekday meeting pretty much cancels out any chance I have of being able to make a meeting.

Well I can't say we have any plans for a weekend meetup but if enough people are interested in doing something add to the discussion here and I'll organize a meet. Four or five hour trips is a seriously long drive! If you're willing to put in that time just for a TIG meet I'm impressed!

Where are guys coming from? That sounds something like Sudbury territory.

From my perspective, weekends are not a problem at all. It should be duck soup to get the facilities arranged.

Ok so there you go. Ken is the guy who gets the AiTO space for the TIG meets so he would certainly know best. Chris and Rob any particular topic/activity you guys would want to go through for such a meet? It would be a big waste for you guys to come down to TO for nothing.
