About the author

My first job as an artist in a web agency in 1995 was a nightmare : create a website with NotePad and Photoshop was a little bit complicated for me :) Then, WYSIWYG applications appeared, and I created Carbone 14, my first company, to provide multimedia applications and websites for my clients. A few years later I worked as a project manager in a French company whose the most important client was Apple. My last job was more Video and Advertising oriented. I discovered the Game Development in 2001 and my very first game was a"space invaders" made with Macromedia Director :) After a few years as a GG community member, I started a company with Mathieu in 2005 : Frogames. I provide resources to speed up the production of games and operate as an external contractor for 3D and 2D art creation. My clients are Synapse Gaming, Red Thumb Games, GarageGames, PrairieGames ... view profile »

Digged it, although I think you need 100's to 1000's to make a impact on digg don't you? (comparing with the Venture Arctic digg experiment) :0)

Digged... If you really want it to be huge on Digg, I've noticed if you put Ron Paul or NSFW in the title, it gets thousands in no time :)

Good luck!

Thank you all!

@Leroy Frederick
You're right. It was an opportunity, but it looks like it doesn't work :/

@Chip Lambert
Thank you for the tips :p

I tried it myself (even though my game was no where near as popular as VA), but it seems that like everything that's established or becomes more so (myspace, youtube, digg etc), they seem to become less and less effective as a marketing source for less established brands/entities...

Chip, are you serious about this Ron Paul or NSFW improving diggs? What/who are they (excuse my ignorance :-P)?

Ron Paul is a US Presidential candidate that most of the Digg community have got behind almost overnight. NSFW means "Not Safe For Work" aka "Possible Naked Pictures" :) But any article with either of those in it, seem to get to the Top 10 list in no time.

Argh, not safe for work, understood, perhaps they've never heard of google images :-D.

So all canon has to do is feature a screenshot with some naked penguins and boom, top digg material! Only problem is I think there already naked, right?
