I want seminar ideas

I've been talking to a few people interested in the GI Live Events program, and I want to solicit more ideas on topics they could speak about. I'm not saying I'll be able to find a speaker for every topic, but I'm certainly going to try! You can either post your topic idea to this thread (on GDnet), email me, or comment me in this journal. If you can't take advantage of these free events cause they don't have anything to offer you, here's your chance to change that.

Unit testing, bugfixing and verification
Programming fashion, agile methods and design patterns
Scene creation - how different games compose thier render pipelines both artistically and technically
The next next gen - understanding how technology is changing and how it affects games
Those are some mainly introductory level "chat" seminar ideas.

Do a speed coding one too. I've seen some demonstrations on the net, of speed coding, and they seem to be pretty popular

skyboxes
terrain
vegetation
creating/using dll's
debugging in visual studio
oh... and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, consider some form of offline version of these seminars. The times that you guys do these are inevitably inconvenient for me.

Here are some ideas that would probably fit into a short lecture type of format:skyboxes
terrain
vegetation
creating/using dll's
debugging in visual studio
oh... and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, consider some form of offline version of these seminars. The times that you guys do these are inevitably inconvenient for me.

Thanks for all the suggestions, hope to see them coming.
Yea you know I'm definetly going to give some thought to how we could host these seminars offline. I never considered it initially but more and more people are clamoring for it so I'll have to put my thinking cap on and come up with something. Stay tuned

I'll look into the LI program and see what I can come up with. I've done speaking before and as crazy as it sounds 30 minutes can seem like an eternity when you need to give a seminar. I'll look a lot closer at the stuff and see if I can lend a hand. Wether in a speaking capacity or just with ideas.
GL man.
