Greetings fellow GarageGamers,
I'm pleased to announce with the support of fellow Torque developer veterans Ken Finney and Krunal Patel aka "Lateral Punk" the resurrection of the Toronto Torque Intereset group or TIG. Some of you may recall a previous TIG meeting in November of last year. Details of which can be found here. These new meetings will be held very much in that same regard. This is meant to be a fairly regular meeting occurring every two months highlighting various GarageGames technologies and what people are doing with them. All are welcome to attend! The first meeting will outline the following topics...
Torque Game Engine - basic presentation by Ken Finney covering the basics of Torque Game Engine and some of it's capabilities.
Torque Game Builder - presentation by Rob Segal on the basic capabilities of Torque Game Builder including the level editor, collision detection, particle effects and more.
Space is generously provided by Ken Finney and the Art Institute of Toronto.
Full details about the date, time and venue are...
RECENT UPDATE! FLOOR CHANGE! - Thursday August 9th, 6pm - 9pm @ 655 Bay St, 3rd floor, Art Lab 4 (AiTO). Signs will posted to direct you on arrival.
!IMPORTANT! - If you do plan on attending please post a reply here so we can get an idea of the number of people attending.

There will be a student downstairs directing people where to go. The meeting room is on the 3rd floor - Art Lab 4.
At 6pm the downstairs doors will be locked by security, but the student volunteer will be there to let people in and provide directions.

The GGE Torque group we had discussed at tonights meet can be found here. It will serve largely as the portal for notifications about the TIG group here in Toronto. I'll post a more comprehensive review of our first meet when it's not so late and I'm not so tired. Thanks to all who attended!
