With the release of the Torque Wii port, I am getting a lot of great ideas and my imagination is running wild. I'm looking forward to hopefully getting my hands on this. This is a great day to be an indie. Now if only Sony will follow Microsoft and Nintendo's examples.

I hear rumours that this license will not be easily or readily obtainable (not for "joe indie"). Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Currently you have to be a registered nintendo developer and have access to a dev kit, which isn't easy at the moment for "joe indie."

We are still awaiting all the details from nintendo on how they are going to go about handling wiiware. Currently you have to be a registered nintendo developer and have access to a dev kit, which isn't easy at the moment for "joe indie."

Wii needs Torque, Torque needs Wii. If you ask me they are the absolute perfect combination.

Wii development kits as I've heard are affordable for an indie team. I think the biggest thing stopping indies is that canidates for dev kits usually have a strong background in the gaming industry with several shipped products.

Has this actually been released though. I saw the press release and got the newsletter but, the product itself is nowhere to be seen.
