Download the DirectX SDK and set up your include directories within your compiler.

It seems like these kinds of "blog entries", which should really be forum questions, are getting more frequent these days.
Here's a suggestion - maybe GG could show a short "blog etiquette" page whenever someone goes to post a new blog entry. Something that basically says what blogs are for, and what forums are for. And include there links to a few forums that are good for newbie questions, so the poster doesn't need to search for anything.
The only drawback I can think of is it'd take GG's time away from their excellent work elsewhere (which, normally, I'd rather them be working on :) )- but it seems like such a page would be pretty easy to do.
