We have some great announcements to bring to you that just couldnt wait. I want to thank you all for supporting our game, as we have now broken though the 1000k view marks on the public blog on www.mydreamrpg.com, and by viewer demand, Im going to work on stepping up the visuals and you will start seeing things in the GUI and some other changes soon, in the next month
Id like to welcome two new members of our team. Edward "Ed" Johnson and Nicholas "Dj_Veleck" Bogart. We actaully had a blast this weekend tossing some really nice ideas, hush hush stuff.
Ed has joined us in the capacity of our lead artist We welcome his talents into our project. Which also means our timeline for showing off some of our artwork has been improved and possibly within the next week or 2 we can start unveiling our first official models.
Veleck has joined us as a programmer and a general partner in crime. We also welcome and hope to sponsor some of Pod Radio, Veleck radio station. Please take a moment to drop by and register at this, we hope to have some exciting things coming of this union.
Well Milestone One is apon my merry band of developers. In my design doc, i clearly marked out a timeline for things to be done, something that any good and organized team should have set out. Also, were working to the wire to get said organization and goals completed.
Our first quarter goals were realitivly simple. Flesh out the world you will see, give it a form and give it names and places. Create enemies, plot lines, start the ball rolling on the models for these items. This included the process you have been seeing me rolling out the last 2 months, the world which you see growing, is a skeleton. A frame to build on for the rest of the team.
Now through the next few milestones ihave 5 of them ahead of us actually. Most of relatively simple. There will be ups and there will be downs. The next 6 months will see the muscle and tendons being built around the frame, it will begin to move and you will see the bland, lifeless shots being filled with life, NPCs, Bad guys, creatures, and alot of other things that you wont see in most typical mmos. This wont simply be a mmo of the masses, it will have a layered storyline that will need the gungho, the intelligent, the crafty and the layback to progress through. Yes, in layman terms sometimes standing back from a puzzle or 2 does cause the solution to appear
But the next little bit, you will see less terrain shots ( oh there will be some) and more actual interaction screens. I have already started some of the prep work for the intro and other player Gui screens.
And now without furth mention, I reveal the beginnings of my last world, Atlantia. What is a human civilation without legend and myth. A entire city floating above a barren wasteland. It funny my team saw it for the first time, and i commented, now to figure out how to prevent them from jumping off.. yah, just remember folks speed kills.

We have had a wonderful time so far working on this game, learning a bit, biting our nails a bit, and cursing a bit.. well maybe alot. I can see several of our competitors are making lots of headway, and its going to be a fight for the finish. We in the IRC have picked our person favorites, and i have my own picks. I can see a few projects starting to lag, but its early. Summer is coming, and alot of folks are taking the time to soak up the sun. Let me give everyone some advice. Take a day off once a week, get off your projects and go outside, breathe some fresh air, turn off the computer and just relax. I do it, and my brain thanks me for it. Btw who else is waiting for Transformers the Movie. Im a big fan of the original. There comes a movie so often that just cries to be seen. LotR, Pirates, Terminator, these all those kind of movies.
Prepare yourself. The World of Fantasci is coming.
