School is now over... but Torque has just begun!

I have finally graduated from middle school after a rather long and painful 4 years. This summer I plan on pigging out on TGB and indulging in as many resources and tutorials as is possible in 2 months. I hope I will be able to accomplish SOMETHING....(maybe finish a game ore two) and I am thinking that maybe keeping up with blog posting will inspire me to work.

1. Form or join a team
2. Start small
Ramblings on point:
1 - With a team you can do more, get valuable input, advise, help. You learn alot
2 - Go Read up... Take up a project you know you can accomplish and finish. A decent finshed game is worth much more than a great un-accomplished idea (since thats all it is)
:)

okay thanks for the great advice. i don't know anyone with the attention span to help me finish any of my projects, however. in order to form some sort of team then, would i just ask around on garagegames?

i might do that later... for now i'll just focus on some small projects to expand my knowledge of the program.

Look around... People with proper dev plans tend to get more attention. You even get more attention when u can show something (being proactive - Rather than doing something than nothing); You learn that way (of how it works and gain valuable hands-on experience).

Im gonna be honest... It's hard to get a team (Person or people) that will be interested in your ideas. Most people come here with that "great idea for a game" and want their game to be created. This can leave you alone. Rather join a team, and learn. When you have something to show, knowledge, confidence; only then expand.Look around... I'm sorry, i gotta say this. You just finished middle school, and yet you can spell and use proper grammar. I applaud you sir. Had you not said anything, i would never have known.

I think most people on on-line messaging boards use false grammar and strange abreviations* due to their typing speed, like me when I'm instant messaging friends on-line I just go crazy on the wtf bs bff fts etc. xD
*Is that how you spell it?
