Plan for Jay Ellsworth

My plan is to keep learning everything that I can about game development. Improving my mapping, art & programming skills along the way. I fix computers for a living now but, gaming is my passion in life! Has been since I was about 6 years old. I've been making maps for games since the good ol' days of Starcraft and I love it! I make mostly Counter-strike maps whenever I get a chance these days.
I have ideas for games, and I have friends who have ideas for games. I mostly enjoy mapping and am pretty handy in the art dept. I'm also currently wrapping my mind around C++. I live at least 200 miles away from the nearest game development company so, the internet is my greatest resource. I read as much information about developing games as I can get my hands on. And that's a lot, thanks to pages like this. Piles of books and pages of Favorites!!
I've been hitting forums like a mad-man lately, hoping to find someone who can use my skills part-time. I don't know exactly where I'm going to end up but, I do know that I have the skills and the ambition to get where I want to be in life. If don't know how to do something I study it until I do. One step at a time. Just read the readme, as I like to say.
