I just recently found Torque after my many months trying to find a better way to achive the look i was going for in my game. I've decided to go with Torque as it seems it is a very great comunity with lots of experienced person envolved in it. I am hoping to get my game up and running for all to play and make some friends along the way! I'm always looking for help and fresh new ideas for my game, so dont be shy, come and say hi!

Thanks guys! Anyone have any sugestions on which engine i should get? I was looking at the Advanced version of Torque, and various other helpful tools this site offers, does anyone have some advice on what i should pick up for myself? I'm open to anything someone has to say.

Regarding which engine, it depends on your experience level. If your totally new to programming and game development or want to concentrate on 2d games, go for TGB. If your more experienced with game development or want to do a 3d game, go for TGE. If you can't master TGE/TGB, you won't do much better in TGEA, which in basic terms is TGE with shaders and better terrain (better looking high end version of TGE).
It is said that TGB has more/better documentation in the box (which I would agree with) and help resources. Even if your are experienced with game dev, if your unfamiliar with torquescript or aren't feeling overly confident about the prospect of it, I would still recommended TGB, after using it myself TGE makes a lot more sense and seems like its just a case of getting media/models into it (I'll have to reserve final judgement until I attempt to fully make something in TGE, but thus far it's looking good). Hope this helps you...

Thank you Leroy Frederick for the helpful insight on these. From what you've said i think im still going to go with TGEA even though i do not know anything on torquescript. I'm pretty confident in myself and if I do get stuck ill look to the forums or friends that recomended Torque to me.
