Hey folks, just a quick appetizer this time... the 3D-Diggers are proud to present the long-awaited Horsepack by Robert Brower. Robert has put a lot of work into that totally awesome pack and now it is really about time to release that thing! You can read the details about the pack history over here in Robert's blog.
The pack will be available within the next 2 weeks - there will be a special offer price for the first 2 weeks also, so you better don't miss it! :)
The pack will feature all the MAX files for the model and animations, script files, horse and AI horse source code files, 7 different horse textures (!) with and without saddle (!!), etc.!
Here are some screens:

Woah!

Gratz on getting this long awaited pack out the door Stefan, and thanks to Robert too.

Are there any additions/improvments/tweaks compared with what it was back in July 2004 ?

@Christian: well, yeah, Robert had the animations and textures improved, and I think he has also tweaked the code a bit ... and the pack was tested with TGE 1.4.2. and TGE 1.5.0.

Wow... I haven't thought about the Horse Pack in ages! Thanks Stefan for hosting it on 3d-diggers. I hope people enjoy the hard work that we put into it. And Kudos to Robert for keeping it alive for us. :)

Very nice pack...congratulations. I hope the animations will be lifelike...its the key element for a good horsepack.

@Danny: yeah, been a while ;) which reminds me.... I should have mentioned that you made the model and animations - great job!
@Gabor: the animations, model and textures are awesome - as mentioned above, Danny Ngan did the model and animations and Eric Elwell made the different textures and they both did a fantastic job! I'll post a movie with my next blog, once the pack is ready for downloading - which should be tomorrow :)

The horse pack err... packaging still takes some hours, so here is a quickly recorded video to make the waiting easier :)

Nice Vid :)

I see the dismounting is still the same ol, 'standing up' on the horse ;)

Had hoped for a sidestep there, but well -tweaking on the way then.

Here you go!
There will be an extra blog post tomorrow, too... but I'm too tired for now ;)
Oh, and there are special offers for all the "wild wild west" packs (including the horse pack) available for the next 2 weeks!

Great Pack! ;) Sweet animations.

Only bother right now is its "Kork Sized". :( Its like Huge.

Ill fiddle with the source and hope to get him smaller... *wonders if the dsqs work if the dts is smaller*
EDIT: Nope DSQ scales the smaller horse. Alas gotta rescale the animations too.

Cheers
