Let's see...I spent the past week setting up the starting zones. Mostly terrain and water work; so, they don't look really great at this time. I have started vegetation work on the Halfling starting zone of Ravenshire. Here are a couple of screenshots of the work in progress.

Back to work! I will update next week.

One suggestion. Never put green looking grass on a sandy straw looking terrain texture.

if that makes sense :)

I don't think your colors tie in well enough with each other, at the moment each section looks really separate from each other and the environment, rather then blending into a nice smooth looking environment..if that makes sense :)

You should really get a better sky box... That would help the scene tremendously.

@Phil, that sandy straw stuff is a path. I need to rework the grass so that it is not covering it up.
@Andrew, I'd like some more feed back on why you feel the color doesn't feel right based on those screen shots.

Hey Kevin. Phil's right...even if a path gets beaten in, you wouldn't usually have vibrant green grass growing in an area with what looks like parched, dry land. The path would typically be made of a much darker, browner, richer soil.

Kevin, I see nothing wrong with the color choices you've made ... and I think you should leave some grass in the path ... just some splotches though ...
