Hi there, just an update on the show at the Chelsea Art Museum in NYC where Venture Arctic is on display. Donnie Bugden reports to me that the show is going extremely well. People are really digging the game and getting into the environmental messages as well.
One of the interesting experiments we did with the game that turned out really well is that rather than have difficulty levels, like EASY, MEDIUM, HARD, we allow the player to turn on/off environmental issues like Climate Change, Deforestation, and Extinction, each of which makes the game incrementally harder. Mix this in with a story line inspired by Inuit folklore and revolving around the idea of global climate change. And of course, the animal behaviors are all as authentic as we can get them. I can't wait to release this darn thing to the public!

Andy, that's excellent. When will the game be available? My daughters want to play it!

I like the idea of difficulty levels being what kind of global issues a player wants to deal with and combined with a very current subject matter/concern (climate and the earth) this game seems like its gonna be a master-stroke! Great stuff! :0)

i've been to the museum (i used to live in the city) and i remember that it was a place full of energy (energetic people, maybe), but i haven't been there in a while... still, it looks like it was a 'fun' event...
congrats on your showing... i may get a chance to get down to the city and will definitely go by and see if your work is still showing...
