Characters on Foot

by Sam Redfern · 04/04/2007 (2:43 am) · 7 comments

After spending a full month 'pending approval', my latest dev. snapshot appears to have been rejected from the 'development snapshot/advert of the day'. Not to worry.. here it is anyway. Unfortunately the carefully written text I had with it is gone also.

But anyway... many thanks to our character modellers Paul and Alan.. that was the important bit :-)

Cool! Second chick from the right in the top row (black singlet, white skull) is my favorite.

Sorry to hear about your snapshot, things aren't like they used to be around here.

Already one month?
It passed so quickly.
There has been a real and stunning work made on those characters.
They are now quite improved.
Can't wait to see them in action.

Cool characters! The second one in the first line looks A LOT like a friend of mine. Skin and bones and a weird felted punk hair style.

That 2nd guy on the first line is actually a representative of the 'dopeheads' NPC themed characters in our game. Modelled on Gary Oldman in Tarantino's 'True Romance' in fact: an incredibly vicious character who ironically resembles a hippy somewhat.

One of my other favourites is the bible basher (middle top row)- representative of your 2000AD-type insane post-apocalyptic evangelist who has a bible in one hand and a flamethrower in the other.

It's actually up in the Artist Gallery, which is why it was removed from the dev snapshot gallery. Sorry for the confusion.

We're re-working the community page and snapshots to better divide and provide exposure for different types of snapshots.

@Eric: thanks for pointing out that.
Maybe a little announcement from GG would have been good to warn us of what's going on.
But you are all forgiven, with Constructor soon to be released for free! ;-)

Eric- thanks for letting me know. Just as well I wasn't too rude, eh? ;-)
