Blockland Released...

So Blockland is out, it's for sale and it's amazingly popular. I guess I should stop trying to keep it a secret. It's a sandbox game, you build with bricks online.
There's also an unlockable demo you can Download Here.
It's not quite the tutorial I had hoped for though, so only download it if you are smart and willing to tolerate using nearly every key on your keyboard.
Windows only right now. Mac version is in the works but I'm spread a little thin what with sales, tech support, website, demo and updates to worry about.
Anyway, the cool thing is that the game is like 20x faster than the "v0002" prototype that you clowns may have played in the past. I used to get 12 fps in this scene, now I get 274

Also stuff blows up good... VIDEO
but there's a cool minigame system to control everything so if you just want to build you can do that and other people can go kill each other without bothering you. Argh that video has the old style guys in it not to mention a gun for a rocket launcher, gotta make some new videos.
The part I'm enjoying the most is that I actually get to see new stuff built by other people instead of the same 4 buildings over and over again. Check it out:

Church of satan + excessive use of depth-of-field screenshot mode. How can you go wrong?
Also yay for GGE
^^^ ok I give up, how do you make this link?

This looks really cool Eric. I'm going to have my 4 1/2 year old sit with me and see if he likes it. Are you worried that Lego may come arter you? I hope they can't cause this is a way cool looking game.

Blockland has become a nightly occurence for me and my girlfriends 8-year-old daughter. It became more than a pony simulator last night (thank god) when we both went and made some caves and houses together. Sweet game, everyone should buy it NOW.

Congrats Eric, very cool to see how you've stuck with this and turned it into a great product. I hope that this will be the beginning of a very profitable indie career for you. Great work!
