My progress and new Resource

By nature, I'm highly impatient. Every fiber of my being screams for instant results in whatever I'm doing, which is not a great quality for a game developer. Luckily, I'm also stubborn and tend to ignore my own tendencies.
After years of design, months of preparation work, and a little saving of money, I finally will have my own Indie company. My best friend, Justin Verrastro, is my partner in this venture. We are current approaching everything with a 50/50 mentality, which includes funding, recruitment, and actual work.
After a few more applications and fees are processed, we will start development on our first game which has been in the design phase for nearly 2 years. We are still recruiting for the team, but here's a little background info:
Both Justin and I made it through Full Sail's Game Design and Development (Assoc. Degree) program. We both decided to enter into the Bachelor Completion Programs, but he went for Entertainment Business and I went for Game Dev. again. While I wish I could have taken classes with him again, this move turned out for the best because his knowledge on business setup and management exceeds mine by leaps and bounds.
After Full Sail's Game Design program, he said he'd never go back to designing and programming again. However, after I showed him TGE 1.5 with AFX (Christmas gift from my girlfriend), his enthusiasm for game creation returned. We decided to team up, but this time we could actually have fun and make a game on our own terms.
Our current team, which is still growing, consists of the following:
(Last names witheld, until permission granted)
Michael Perry - Project Co-Founder, Tech Lead
Justin Verrastro - Project Co-Founder, Asset Lead, Business Manager
Heather Pettigrew - Designer, Research
Brian - 2D and Concept Artist
Steve - Scripter
It has been a long time since I've been this excited about something. We've got the tech. We've got years of design, education, and Torque research to back up our ambition. Most of all, we have a love for our first project and game development in general.
Details about our company and project will be released as they are solidified, but since pictures are obligatory in .plans now:

And as an added bonus for reading to this point, here's my new resource (YAY):

Good luck with everything. Hopefully you can maintain a solid team of contributors, as that seems to be one of the hardest things to do!

Hehe, that's quite an endorsement of Full Sail :P
Good luck Michael, your trials and tribulations are definitely an inspiration, I really hope this works out well for you.
