TIG: Orlando - Round 2 - the morning after (picture heavy)

by Scott Burns · 02/27/2007 (7:46 am) · 9 comments

So we've got one more TIG under our belts. Last night we had roughly the same amount of people as last time, however they were almost all new faces. So I consider that a complete success, especially considering the last minute nature of this TIG. If you didn't get to come last night you missed out on some really cool stuff, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Here's Davey waiting for our little shindig to get under way.

The TIG crew keeps watch from the back. Garrett recently shipped his awesome puzzle game Oddictive. Go buy it, right now, don't worry, I'll wait.......

.....ok, now back to the show.

At this point Eric thought I was being lax in my photography duties and pilfered my camera to take pictures of the TGBX editors.

Shorty afterward I wrestled back control of the camera just in time to take this shot of the Marble Blast XNA demo. Such a pretty marble.

After a Q&A session things wrap up and we call it a night.

Everybody mingles about for a bit before heading out.

I hope everyone that came out last night enjoyed it, and we hope to see you again next time.

Good to see you guys again and even better to see how GG is working with academia to bring Torque goodness to the masses.

Definitely very informative, and fun to talk to Davey first hand. For those of you who are wondering, the photos are blurry because we aren't pro photographers. The yellow tint is a result of the auditorium lighting...it was literally that yellow in the room, and by the end of the night my eyes were seriously hurting. .

Great TGBX stuff was shown....yes Constructor was brought up....yes TorqueX 3D was brought up....what was said on the subject matter? Well, that's why you go to these things...get information and network with great people.

Hope to see more of you at the next showing, because there are plans for something big. . .

Yes, the quality of the pics were somewhat disappointing when I uploaded them this morning. They didn't look that bad on the camera's preview screen. Perhaps next time I'll have a better camera, or I'll have figured out how to make this one not take crappy pictures.
