Plan for Dave Meddish

So, my adoring public asks, what's everyone's favorite designer/goofball been up to lately? (About six foot, arr arr arr).

Actually, I've accepted an offer to join the NTDF crew to be the Lead Designer for their Starsiege 2 sequel using the V12 engine.

(Yes, between you, me and the lamppost, we know the odds of us getting the Starsiege license out of the claws of Sierra are slim to none, and Slim is on the bus out of town, but we still plan to go all-out for making a fun mecha game for the masses--we're going to be trying to go for an Alpha Tech Release-feel for the game, keep it simple, keep it real, keep it fun).

I've had a few other offers elsewhere within the industry, but nothing compared to the NTDF boys, who offered a level of organization and talent I hadn't seen elsewhere (and the fact that they all fell to their knees crying "Diamondback! We're not worthy, we're not worthy!" didn't hurt either :-) Get up, you're worthy, you're worthy...

I'll keep you updated on our progress as we march forward on actually making a game.

Until then, shine on, you crazy diamonds!

Just don't call it Starsiege. Make your own universe. I have been encouraging many of you to make a big giant robot fighting game. Think ATR 1. MMP on-line fighting. It would rock, and people would buy it!
