Plan for Justin Mette

Over the past week, the members of 21-6 Productions have been getting organized in preparation for starting our next V12-based game - tentatively called "Myr". Here is an outline of the tasks that have taken place this week (in no particular order):

- Updated the www.21-6.com web site to reflect our current status
- Created a private web site for the "Myr" design document
- Created a private community for the members of 21-6 that includes forums, a project calendar, and live chat room.
- Set up @21-6.com email addresses for the team
- Added GG profiles and bio's for other members of 21-6 Productions and assigned them to the company site on GG.
- Created a project page on GG for "Myr"
- Had a few brainstorming sessions over Game Voice, continuing to evolve the "Myr" game concept.
- Decided on the basic background story for "Myr".
- Posted a "Back Of The Box" blurb about "Myr on the 21-6 site
- Posted some details about the game world of "Myr" in the design document
- Made contact with an old friend, Dustin, about doing artwork for "Myr"

I am hoping to leave weekly plan updates each Saturday morning on the GG site throughout the development of "Myr".

Until next time...

Cool. Like the background story. I take it you're concentrating on a single player game where you are the defective Myr?

Hi Chris - thanks for the comments. A single player game will be possible, but the focus will be on small party adventuring in a single player-like environment. We are very much into cooperative gameplay here at 21-6 and hope to create Myr within that genre. And yes, you will play defective Myr's :)

Interesting. Sort of like cooperative play then, huh?

That's exactly right. We want to really focus on small team, cooperative adventuring. The members of 21-6 often attempt this in games like Asheron's Call and Diablo II LOD but there are many barriers in those games which reduce the amount of true team work that can be accomplished.
