Fun with GenSurf, 3DWS and Torque

Hi Everyone!
Well I'm within three days of the two year anniversary of getting TGE. Which tells me I need to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I can't believe that two years have passed. It's amazing.
But It's one of those things that some of you younger guys will realize as you get older. The perception of time changes. In fact I once read an article that described the phenomenon and unfortunately I believe the authors hypothesis was correct. His arguement was that our perception is based upon the previous amount of time we have lived and the percentage realationship.
For example: when you are four years old, a year comprises 25% of your life, so therefore we perceive that passage of time as a huge portion of our life (and in fact, of course it is). Where as to a twenty year old, one year is only 5%, so it seems to pass quicker. As we get older the percentage relationship gets smaller leading to the perception that time is passing quicker. It really doesn't, obviously, it just comprises much less of a percentage of the life we have already lived. Woo Hoo, something for you to look forward to, huh?
Anyways, back to the .Plan. I stumbled across a program I hadn't used in *years* in one of my directories, and started messing around with it. GenSurf is it's name and I'd nearly forgotten about it from my HL modding days. Then I remembered it can export .MAP files. Then I said to myself, "self" (the kids watch to much of the Food Channel), "You can import .MAPs into 3D World Studio, why don't you give it a try." So I did.
I figured it would break on the .BSP/.DIF export.
But it didn't.
Then I though it would break on the load in Torque.
But it still didn't.
Then I figured there was no way it would survive a relight and break then.
But again it didn't.
So here is what I did on my day off, in between messing with the Main Menu Gui and Player Selection Gui and generating some new SkyBoxes (I like making skyboxes).
Have a wonderful Christmas. Remember to pause and enjoy it. Time passes.

I like the screenshots, I'm going to dig that program up and see what it actually does :)

Time passes....I was also thinking that recently and often since then.I like the screenshots, I'm going to dig that program up and see what it actually does :)

i gotta agree with you on it, once you hit 18, time seems to speed up :(
i really like the screen shots, keep up the good work, i take it the 80 is the amount of healthpoints? i'm not sure if it's a good idea or not but you could use the border thats around the radar as the healthpoints display, so if the border is fully around the radar the character is at full health and the border disappears anti-clockwise if the character looses health, just a thought, kinda interesting trying to incorporate both the radar and the health bar as one object, plus helps the user since he/she can just flick to one thing and can find out both the enemy's near and the amount of health he/she has.

When I "go back home" and drive by the old place, I swear I did not grow up and do all that I could have sworn I did on that little hill top.
When talking to the kids I will tell them "forever in kid years".
