@Mads:
Put [gg-e_user=username]

Remove the '-' in gge and put your username in place of 'username'
Like so...Okashira showed me how to do it, so thanks goes out to him again :0)

Game badges are soooooo close to being put on my Adblock list.
IMO, they ruin the flow of a thread and are pretty similar to ads anyway. I wish GG would use my suggestion to allow them in place of the profile picture.

edited for clarification.

Since this is only a test blog, I'll throw my 2 cents in with Eric's comment. I like the idea of the badges, and being able to place them in a comment. Yes, they can throw off the flow of the post, but I don't think they would ruin a thread. I try to place mine after my post or blog, that way it's not detracting from the point. Just my op.

It increases the length of a post and the more scrolling I have to do, the less likely I'm going to read that post.

I don't care what games you've played or what your catch phrase of the moment is. If your post intrigues me enough, I'll click on your name and go to your profile. Otherwise, you're spamming.

In my opinion, the GGE badge for inclusion in a post should be the "cog" icon and your GGE handle - yeah, just that top bar. Click on it and it takes you to your GGE home page.

There ya go - my 2 cents :)

Personally I really like seeing the badges. It gives me a lot more info about the person that posted, and that is how I end up making virtual (and hopefully real life) friends and team mates. We are going to make badges much more flexible and editable, including size. Some of them will be more the size of a signature that I think will be very useful. Instead of always putting in Jeff Tunnell, GG, I will just put in markup for nice looking sig.

For now though....

Are you guys copy/pasting the url to the badge every time you post? if not, how the heck are you doing it as I see no options for a sig?

@Pisal
There are instructions how to do it in Leroy's post above.

I guess I'm a visitor =P. I need to change my profile quite a bit but haven't found time yet. So to answer the first part of my question, there isnt' a way to automatically set this, you actually need to type/paste the gge_user bit in yourself each time?

Someone feel free to send me an invite. It is frustrating when I own just about all the GG tech and not to get an invite. I would love the picture.
