Plan for Justin Mette

Has it been that long?

After almost 10 months, the members of 21-6 are gearing up to take another crack at building a game. We put alot of work into our last attempt (as shown, to an extent, on our web site) and also learned alot of lessons. Then we took some time to reflect on where we needed to go next.

I am writing our first Garage Games Plan because of the revelation we recently had around the time of the Game Developer's Conference. You see, that's when we met Rick, Jeff, and Tim and we learned of something wonderful that could change our lives.

The toughest obstacles for 21-6 in past attempts at making a game have been engine design/programming taking forever, publishing, and artistic talent. After talking with the GG founders at GDC and observing the GG community, we have come to believe strongly in what Garage Games has to offer "indie" game developers - like us. Our team has decided to invest heavily in the community and the technology GG offers in developing a completely new game idea.

Over the past couple of weeks, a really strong idea has formed between the team for a new game to be based on the V12 technology. This week, we officially started to have brainstorming sessions on the game idea as well as some other important process related items. We feel that Garage Games is really giving us a chance to get a game published this time around so there is nothing holding us back.

We will be keeping the Garage Games community up to date via these Plan files and also on our web site, www.21-6.com. If you are interested in anything you see, please feel free to contact us.
