Really dissapointed to hear you say this. You had somewhat of a good idea and a plausable design for the game...

Now its MMO. I could write a book on why a MMO is not a good idea for a start up company unless they are being heavily funded by someone(s)

But, I am sure you don't want to hear it, no one does, good luck though.

I'm just as dissapointed, but what can I do? When the whole team decides the design needs to change it puts me between a rock and a hard place. If I could find a way around it I would. If there is another group out there that liked my idea I'd be more then happy to help out with the details, I'd really like to see it make it to the gaming world.

Just a little warning about this. FPS/RTS games are much harder to make. Has the team considered that also players will only be able to play on broadband because of lots of objects to load?

You might want to check out the RTS/FPS blending thread I started a while back. A lot of good ideas came out of it that might help you to hone your design.
