Trog Killer Plan, Part II
As promised I will provide some of the plot that will be present in Trog Killer. I am only posting the background, as to not give away too much for potential players, though in actuality the player will not know the background information I post right now until the end of the game. Anyway, here is what I have come up with:
Background for Trog Killer
An organization called the Secret Society of Guardians (SSG) sends an elite recon force of tech specialists, support and stealth operatives to a government research base. The SSG had intelligence concerning a possible project going on there involving illegal genetic coding and unethical use of human test subjects.
Upon arrival, the team penetrates what seems to be meager defenses, and gets to the heart of the facility. The blood is frozen in their veins at the sight that meets their eyes. Hideous orc-like beasts howl and rage in many cages. There are too many to count. All are deformed and obscene, extra limbs, missing limbs, added horns, and slavering mouths.
They backtrack from their vantage point. But within 100 yards of the exit, titanium doors the size of a house slam over the portal, and the crazed orc beasts are unleashed on the recon team. Being poorly equiped for a toe-to-toe fight, they flee as fast as they can down random corridors. They all are eventually dragged down and eaten by the inhuman monsters, all except one.
Roang, a stealth specialist, runs as fast as he can down corridoor after corridoor. Finally, he hits a dead end and can flee no more. He turns to meet the unholy army with no hope in his heart. While thinking of how many he can kill before he himself dies, the floor beneath him crumbles and he falls into a dark pit.
Here is where the player takes over. I will offer no more clues about the plot except to say these few things. Roang suffers from severe memory loss and portions of dark memories will slowly be revealed to the hopefully horrified player. ;) Also. . .well. . .you'll see eventually. ;D
After some comments from friends and fellow developers about the enormity of the project, I have reconsidered the creation of the game. Instead of going for the full out story-line shabang at first, I'm going to make a game before Trog Killer that will be Quake 3 style. All gameplay no plot. After I have nailed the gameplay, I will work on the final project and it will be much like I have outlined in this .plan and my previous one concerning Trog Killer.
The feedback has been great (and funny) so my thanks once again to the GG community!
