Snowball update

Well, no screenshots yet, but I'm making progress. :)

I have the snowball down, basically just made the weapon and the ammo the same model, made it ballistic and then messed with the settings until it looked good.
I've been messing with the particle system, trying to get a realistic "snow particles" when the snowball hits. I got something that looks OK, but still needs a lot of work.

I added music to the main menu and the mission.

What I've been spending most of my time on is making some of the level elements in Quark.
I'm REALLY looking forward to Constructor coming out, but I'm getting the hang of Quark.
Only issue is because of the FOV used in First Person, I had to do some experimenting to get a convincing scale for my interior.

I think I'm going to start with the level first and put the other stuff on hold. Once I get the level/mission built and get the right atmosphere for the level, I'll go back to the technical aspect of the game.

Some things on the ToDo:
- Finish the level. Interiors, "eye candy", lighting, weather, skybox, textures, etc...
- Create my models for the game
- Tweak the particles on the snowball
- Mess with the animation blending so that I can have a 'throw while running' animation
- Script the tutorial text
- Set up tutorial popup messages (instructions)
- Figure out how to cause health to drop at timed intervals
- Figure out if I can do dynamic weather, or at least increased precipitation
- And so on... :)

So there's my snowball game saga, I'm determined to stick with it this time. :)
Thanks for reading.

Glad to see you're continuing to move forward!

Any forward motion is good motion, and the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. You're doing a great job by having chosen a small elephant.

Keep up the good work! I look forward to reading more of your updates. :)
