Illumina - Back On Track

Well Illumina has been on a bit of a hiatus for awhile. Since our demo release i have been swamped with reallife.
However ive just recently had a chance to get back into it and some big changes are coming :)
First ive spent the last day porting to torque 1.5, the new environments are awesome, and i plan on picking up Todd Pickens Enviroment pack to further expand on it.
Whilst i still dream of getting illumina onto tse at some point , for now i want to refine it and perfect the gameplay on tge.
I have found that a quick drop into tse really shows off its potential

Some big changes to gameplay are happening, heres a brief rundown of what i plan on adding :
- Jetpack ability for soldiers
- Enhanced 3rd person mode, including better camera management, grenade arc indicators e.t.c
- Ai bots
- More gamemodes. Including some coop only modes as well as rabbit/capture and hold/ctf/deathmatch and a few others
- Addition of flying vehicles and more gadgets
- Overall improved interfaces
- More variety in maps and enviroments.
DRL/Water enhancements have been dropped for my current build , as i want to focus on getting a consistant look and framerate throughout.
So far i have
-Jetting
-All the vehicles
-All the weapons
-All Backpacks - Cloaking/Deploying Ai Turrets/Rehealing/RestockingAmmo/Repairing
-All Armours - Light Medium Heavy
My hope is to mix the tribes style gameplay with more modern weapons

Im looking for programmers and mappers to help me complete the final stages.

That explains why the screenshots look so good again. I didn't like how DRL affected the game (though I think there was a way to turn them off?).

I still play around with the demo weekly.
Very BF2 feel for gameplay.

Woah. The TSE shot looks soo much better. did you do anything to the model besides adding spec maps? it looks higher poly. and higher res textures.

hmm its the normal maps thats really making it look beta.

But I would definetly force AA a AF in your video drivers. It makes a world of difference :)
