MyMoM or TorqueMoM I can't decide

Hello all,
I can't make up my mind, anyone want to weigh in thier vote?
I have two long term projects that I am working on.
#1 is a re-make of Master of Magic w/ no changes using TGB or TGE (I have not yet made up my mind what one I want to use).
#2 is my version of Master of Magic w/ Updated Graphics / Hex tiles / and Multi-player (2 Humans and up to 4 AIs) in TSE using what I learned in project #1.
In my head I call project #1 TorqueMoM. I wonder if people will get a kick out of that or will it piss them off?
Can anyone guess what I call Project #2? *grin*
I was planning on creating a project here on garagegames.com and was wondering what one I should create?
What do you think?

No vote on which of the two projects to add here on GG to link everything I do with?

@Jacob the plan for TorqueMoM would be to use the original game sprites and sound as it would be a project for me to learn TorqueScript, not for release. TGB would be the best choice for this but MyMoM would be all new graphics and my 2D art skills are 5th grade level. I can however do 3D modeling so if there is a TGE TBS kit in the works (There was at some time in the past) then TGE might be the way to go. I am waiting on a response from the Developer of the TBS Content Pack before I make up my mind.No vote on which of the two projects to add here on GG to link everything I do with?

MoM was a great game, but I say stick to 2D and still update the graphics. Make it multiplayer hotseat turn based strategy.
Then, using what you've learned from that, try to convert it into an RTS.

I think you should make an updated version of it using TGB.MoM was a great game, but I say stick to 2D and still update the graphics. Make it multiplayer hotseat turn based strategy.

Something like MagicMaster would be better.

I don't think calling it any thing MoM would be a good idea. Minions of Mirth is known as MoM, and you don't want to get people confused.Something like MagicMaster would be better.

@Simon - When I first read about Minions of Mirth going gold it was refered to as MoM and I was SOO happy that someone redid Master of Magic. When I learned that they ment Minions of Mirth I was crushed. To me MoM has always been and always will be Master of Magic. If I ever get to the point where my version of Master of Magic is good enough for release I will name it something other then MyMoM. For now I want to keep MoM in the name to see how many Master of Magic fans chime in, there are a lot more then you would think considering how long ago that game was abandoned.

@Ben - At this point I see a very good chance that the updated ver will be in TGB. Hotseat is a must for the updated ver. I have zero interest in making it a RTS. There are many RTS games out there and most of them are better then I can ever see me doing.@Simon - When I first read about Minions of Mirth going gold it was refered to as MoM and I was SOO happy that someone redid Master of Magic. I loved Masters of Magic. It was the first game I ever played that needed to be patched online... it took 3 hours to download a tiny little patch on my 2400 baud modem :) But that game was awesome!*edit* spelling :(

MoM is king. It has stolen too many hours of my life already with many more to fall prey I'm sure.

Sprites are way easier to deal with... and you can make some really impressive stuff, pre-rendered into sprites and make a 2d game look absolutely incredible.

Personally, if I was good at 3d stuff but I hadn't done much game programming, I'd make 3d artwork, render it and make tiles for TGB... especially for a game like MoM.Sprites are way easier to deal with... and you can make some really impressive stuff, pre-rendered into sprites and make a 2d game look absolutely incredible.

"TBS was a project around the time the RTS pack was being developed/released (2004-2005). I cannot confirm if it's alive or dead but regardless it's not something coming out in the immediate future (if at all)."
TGB it is. Thanks all!

So the plan for this weekend is to download the TGB 30 day trial and get working on it while I wait for my next paycheck so I can buy it.

@Tony - This is now the plan. I was waiting back on a response on any TBS kits / Content Packs in the works. Now that I know that one will NOT be comming out any time soon for TGE TGB became the ONLY choice for me.So the plan for this weekend is to download the TGB 30 day trial and get working on it while I wait for my next paycheck so I can buy it.
