Adventure Kit update 1.1

Hey all, alot of this will be repeated in a development snapshot soon, but just a quick post announcing that the Adventure Kit update 1.1 is available, free upgrade to owners of 1.0. Changes in the new version:

  • Works without TGB source code, so non-Pro users (and even trial users) can now purchase and work with the Adventure Kit!
  • Reworked collision for performance gain
  • No need for C++ code changes with TGB 1.1.1 or higher.
  • A couple of art fixes, and addition of a handful of new art items...

New art includes:

  • Animated flags (4 colors) and flagpole
  • Toadstools of various sizes
  • Tiling pier, horizontal and vertical
  • Potato sack
  • Individual and stacked sandbags
  • Treasure chest with animated lid
  • Fruit basket
  • Torches
  • Alternate dark and light dirt transitions (not shown)
  • Fixed sand transitions (not shown)
  • Added cracked mud tile (not shown)

One note from Tim on existing users:

Quote:older TGB Adv. Kit owners may note the name of the product in their download history might change (appended with Inactive) however the download works just fine, and they'll still be able to download the newest version just fine (all comes from one download on the site).

The Sickheadquarters

And on a side note, late October marks four years for Sickhead Games as full-time independent developers. This week we move into our first official office space! It's nothing fancy, but it's home:

So if any Garage Gamers find themselves coming through the fair city of Dallas, Texas, give us a shout and stop by.

Superb! But I'm apparently too early to download. The link doesn't work yet in the downloads page. Ah the trials of being the first poster.

Hey you guys, congrats on the digs!!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with Tom a bit at !IGC and hearing about some of the stuff he's working on, and I can definitely say these are some indies who get things done! Good job y'all.

Thanks Sickhead games, for adding more to an allready wonderfull kit!
I love the kit, and hope there will be more kits like this from you guys in the future.

I think the mushrooms are maybe "a tad" to glossy compared to rest of the kit, but maybe thats just me.

Best regards from a happy customer. :)

Link doesn't work for me either. Says I may be trying to download an old link as they expire after 8 hours.

Er I think the inactive tag really does mean the link it now inactive! You might want to look into that asap.

Man I really want to pick this up. If only I wasn't living paycheck to paycheck lol. I plan on getting it eventually though. It should really help with this RPG project I've been toying with.
