Finally glad to announce the release of the first Ironfoot Content pack, designed and aimed for RTS style of use.

Based on, & design around a WW2 style of era, the pack gives you a mixture of structures with high quality custom textures - buildings are to scale using real world measurements e.g. 1m = 1m.

Total of 9 individual buildings, 8 details including 5 meter & 10 meter walling sections - full source content included with 3 model formats (DTS, LWO & OBJ), along with UV map exports to TGA format.

Modeled in Lightwave 3d, exported using the latest Gnometech compiler - they have been tested in TGE 1.4, though their is no guarantee with this product.

Can also be exported to other applications.

First in a series of packs following similar styling - with planed reproduction of the structures for suitable use in FPS game types.

Can be purchased through the online shop using Paypal, for more information please visit the site at www.ironfoot.co.uk/dev.

Regards,
James McLellan

I've been waiting for this. Just bought it - the conversion rate made it $29.14 (USD).

Can't wait to download it when I get home and add it in. WooHoo!

This looks very, very nice!

Alan: cool, so you went for it... I think it'll look great in MI..

Just want to add my "These are cool" vote to this.. We're using James's stuff in Air Ace and its really good quality. If James gets a bunch more done, I think this will set a great tone for many games.

James: Keep at it, you need to build up a bunch of things before they really start paying off, but this is a great start!

whats the resolution of the textures?
furthermore, it is a bit of a small pack but this looks really good

Thank you for the comments,

Yes, most textures come from digital source material that ive taken this summer using a camera. Textures are no larger than 512 x 512 pixels, though you will find the smaller structures will have better texture quality close up due to scaling. Depending on feedback I could increase the larger buildings to 1024 x 1024, but as it was aimed for strategy style games rather than FPS ive tried to keep the sizes down.

I do intend in releasing further packs to expand on the content so far, featuring even more structures, buildings, along with other games assets/props such as vehicles etc.

With anyluck in about a months time im hoping to release a small free update for pack owners with atleast an extra bonus building.

@Phil - I only wish I was the "Alan" behind MI. That Alan has an awsome game on his hands!
Don't worry though, I'm gonna dump them into a first person view and see what happens.
