Retravoid character gets a fantastic cosmetic re-make (and a Teaser Trailer)

Andy Osbourne at Sihlouette studios has provided me a FANTASTIC launching pad, being the main character to get this project promoted. The animations, the model, and the texture mapping.

One thing I was not happy with was the textures. Well, I took a plunge into my copy of Paint Shop and gave him a cosmetic re-make.

So far, the difference has been something to dance about. Take note, I'm still working on him - including his entire head.

If you saw my other blogs, you probably know right off the bat, the texture is greatly improved.

I also took a dive into Milkshape and created his weapon a few days ago. Take note, the stuff I'm posting here, I don't know how the crap I did it. I have no tutoring in 3D modeling or anything. Infact if you were to take a look at this model in wireframe mode, you'd probably laugh at how badly it was modeled, yet amazed at how well it looks.

This is the Cyger Pistol. If I get enough funding for the game, and if my concept artist is willing: Expect a TON of weapons in this game. I really want there to be a huge variety.

WIP as well.

Textures are a godsend really, they make up that entire gun. Infact it was actually taken from the concept art. The concept of the gun was so gorgeously colored, I HAD to try and use it as a texture. The outcome was splendid!

The project really is cooking up and looking as it should, I just wish it could be a little faster.

Purple. It's the new black.

This looks really good. I hope it comes along nicely. Another one to add to my list of projects to watch (which is kind of a short list right now).
