3D anime Art and general modeling heating up

Well, quite some time i didn't post nothing on Garagegames. I still have to reinstall a load of things from the HEAD of Torque - just lost about everthing in my last system crash, reintalling is painfull - and my project doesnt go beyond the main character, running on with a gun in the torque scenarios. Good thing is, i can actually upload my own art. Big deal, since i'm in this situation a long, long time ago.
Well, RPGmaker was to be only a study in menus and what-i-should-have-in-torque-events, but i actually got hooked in the production of a cute 2D RPG with the toy - wich is actually NOT a toy, but a serous development tool if you know how to use it. I re-scaled all elemets, rendered my realtime characters and scenarios, upload all differencial scripts and now i can make a nice 2D RPG with no trouble at all - to make the datablocks, objects, scripts and all necessary adjustments in TORQUE to do the same will be a war that i'll be fighting later... after the release of this 2D title. I am an artist, not a programmer, and the farther i've gone was with acknetix scripts... i'll sweeten torque to the level before using it again.
To easy some of my lost art pain, i decided to upload all my unfinished 3D shorts and teasers on the Youtube movie service and all my best 3D and 2D art on DeviantArt...
I've jointed forces with a group that is developing an online Gladiator game, and made equipment, the first Gladiator and a arena for the guys - but alas, Torque has been kicked out from their project and now they will try to use Ogre instead, so my plans to use some scripts of the project in my game are gone. Still, i'll help them out on the demo as i promised.
In any case, i specialized myself in produce 3D realtime good enough to be rendered and used in 2D games... just hope nothing had to be remade for any reason. Always use torque sized maps and simple skin transforms for the actors, just so i can be sure.
If you are a fan of 3D anime art, here are my links:

Don't be shy on making the "universal man" in anime style for all NPCs - i'm using one for female models now. My male one still only the main hero...
I think that the difficult part for me really is to left old models behind. They where heavy and ugly - that first RPG fellow in my animations page is an example: i was able to throw out the whole model, but still could use his body as "clothe armor" for the 2D charater in my new game. Is sad: my technique got a little better and i throwed out 6 or 7 complete models.
Torque has a lot of trouble with heavy models - i had to cut down face vertices from my character to get some framerate, and he was alone in the screen! There must be a way for Torque to get more from DirectX, i saw an anime 3D game with heavier models that runned so fast... i wished to know if that max/linux export characteristic in Torque really mess up the engine speed on windows, or is just me?

What program do you use to model/animate?
Happen to use any chat programs like AIM or yahoo?

I use 3D Max, the tool haven't changed much since version 4.5 . It's biped features still the best for humanoids, i use it even for horses!
I'm planning to place 3D tutorials for a while now, maybe i should make some for Garagegames resources?
I'll make one for the next character i'm going to place in my 2D game, a wizard girl... i'll make the art resource next thing, stay tunned :D
