Greetings everyone. It's a beautiful day here in downtown Singapore. (Ha... but then I guess all of Singapore is "downtown"). I just finished up an amazing few days in Shanghai, China. I was speaking with developers from all over at ChinaJoy (the E3 for China but with more people). We've got an amazing relationship with Tsinghua University (The #1 ranked university in China). More to come on this front later.... But people have asked about pictures, so here's some pictures from China Joy:
The entrance to China Joy
Every trade show needs girls drumming on the big screen. I have no idea what they were trying to promote.
This proves that the past 2 years that Zac and I have been competing in TopSpin and TopSpin 2 is not in vain. Zac and I will attempt to join the dancing tennis stars of Shanghai... but I'm not sure what that ninja is doing on the left hand side.
This boy's dream has come true... to get his picture taken with WoW characters.
Can you guess which game these characters come from?
An unexpected surprise... I didn't expect to see Pat at ChinaJoy!
Yin Jin, the woman on the right, leaving the stage, was my translator for several meetings. First time I've ever had a "warrior - princess" translate for me.
I think the musicians and the sailors were promoting a fighting game...
I enjoyed getting to peak behind the curtains. Oh... and look at the tall white guy on the right, thats right... its Simon from the IGF.
Just thought I would send out a few pictures from China Joy. Right now I'm in Singapore... and if anyone is out here in Singapore, I think tomorrow (Thursday evening at 9pm), a few of us are getting together at Brewkerz at Clarke Quay. So come out and join us.

I cant imagine what it would be like dealing with people through a translator. Must be pretty weird.
Hope they let me go to the next ChinaJoy. I've got a good feeling about it, although I'm sure its overwhelming.

Hmm, funny isnt it. Communist china playing host to game developers like Blizzard and having a stage with Coca Cola plastered all over it.I cant imagine what it would be like dealing with people through a translator. Must be pretty weird.
Hope they let me go to the next ChinaJoy. I've got a good feeling about it, although I'm sure its overwhelming.

Looks vaguely like Dynasty Warriors, though it's hard to make out the details. Certainly seems like a game in that vein if not it.
