Hello all!

This is my first blog here and i hope some more are following.

I'm currently part of a small dev team that is working on realistic infantry simulator, based on our home-made engine called: 'Genesis Device'.
So far our progress is going steady. The engine code is allmost done, although the network code needs a rewrite and some other bug fixing.

The current name of the game / sim is: Silent Operations (Working title was Project Delta)
It is a realistic multiplayer shooter /sim.
Our goal is to create the most realistic infantry sim there is. If you dislike realistic games, stay off this one.
We have several things planned like fully modifyable weaponry and modifyable playermodels.
The game will be free.

Here are some concept drawings from our concept artist VPR:

Thats impressive artwork. But, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the flag on the second picture is backwards. Its technically correct, but military uniforms don't always follow the rules. The star field should be on the viewers right, forward to the wearer. Its symbolic for "no retreat". Sorry to catch such well done artwork on such a minor technicallity, but you mentioned its supposed to be realistic.

Actually, the official reason the flag is rotated backwards is because when the soldier is running forward it gives the impression the flag is waving the in the wind. This is straight from Army Regulation 670-1, "Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia."

Either way - your statement remains the same - it's backwards. :D

Hej, Thanks for the praises. I actually made it like you said. But i got a lot of sh*t from other people saying I did it wrong. So I changed it. Thanks for proving me right!
