New Music

Puzzle Poker now has new songs thanks to the work of Matt Sayre. I was never very happy with the music in the original release of PP and you may have noticed that I had the default music volume turned down low in the first release. Matt did a great job and came up with music that completely fits the theme. Go ahead and download it and take a listen. It is really cool and catchy - the default music volume is now turned up to full.

Mac Build

The Mac version of Puzzle Poker went live yesterday. Thanks to Paul Scott for getting the port done.

Top Scores

I noticed that the Gargage Games Guys (like Jay Moore who gave great design feedback) have been knocked out of the top spot and the only GG person I still see in the top ten list is Eric "Secret Sauce" Fritz. One person tried to hack scores into the top ten list and actually found a vulnerability that I fixed. They were not able to get new scores in the top scores list, but were able to submit the same score more than once.

Minigolf Mania

Minigolf Mania is now almost complete - just a few tweaks here and there still need to be done. It uses the Torque Game Engine (TGE) with a few modifications to handle rotating platforms and some custom rendering here and there. The art direction and most of the artwork was done by Alex Swanson. Here are a few screen shots...

Aidan
www.topm.com/plans/aidanpika.jpgAlmost forgot to mention my little guy Aidan. He had his 7th birthday, had surgery to have his feeding tube removed, and is doing great. Here he is the day after surgery:

Looks Great! What kind of issues did you run into while porting Puzzle Poker to Mac OS?

@Everyone

Thanks for the comments.

@Phil

Sometime in the last couple of years my eyes decided to stop being able to read small type very well and my 13 year old son beat me in a race. This age stuff sneaks up on you. I going to really try to make it up to the Indie Games Con this year - only a 10 hour drive for me - much easier than the trip you have to take.

@Canon

Thanks. I really love your artwork! I remember the first time a sample was posted and I went wow! I think it was the mini car racing game.

@John

The initial Mac port had to be done on very short notice over a weekend to get it in Apple's booth at E3.
Paul Scott did the port and from what I heard he did not have many problems. In fact he had in running in just a couple of hours and his biggest problem had to do with some encryption code. I think the bug fixes he did find were rolled back into TGB. Hope your Solitaire game goes well.

Ha you have seen through my stealthy score spamming ninja skill! Njar - I guess using the JororHaxx0r nick kinda gave it away... ;)
(thought you fixed that one ages ago as I wasn't able to reproduce it after one day)

The Minigolf mania game looks like it will be another fun product, good luck with the last - but oh so important - touches!

PS. the PuzzlePoker music is a definite improvement, aye

Yeah, when I got up that morning and booted up my computer I saw your score hacking attempts. From the different things you tried, I saw a way that duplicate scores could be submitted and fixed it right away, but not before you succeeded in getting some of them submitted. It was fun to watch you try different things.
