The Process of Learning

I've been lurking around here for a while checking out everyone's great projects with TGE and TGB and decided it was time to start a blog. I've been a hobbyist game developer for a long time, though really didn't finish anything. I have a ton of half finished things. I tend to throw projects out when I learn the original concept I was going for.
Late last year I stumbled on TGB in the early adopter state. I decided to pick it up. I didn't do anything with it for a long time. About April or May, I decided to mess around with the match three type of stuff. I created a project with TGB that mimicked some of the functionality. A movie of an incomplete version can be seen Here.
The other day I read Jeff Tunnell's great article entitiled Five Realistic Steps To Starting A Game Development Company and decided it was time for me to take the next step and get a little more serious about this.
So here I am with the final release of TGB - great job guys! - and I'm ready to finish something. My first task is to go back and finish the match three. I realized I was doing the gem collapse in a retardedly dumb way and I'm going to redo that potion of it. I've decided to tredge through the new tutorials to learn as much as I can about creating a game with TGB, such as do I create objects in script, or pull them in to the scene "off-camera" and set the settings in the level builder? So much to learn. Anyway, wish me luck!
