Andy goes Berserk - Part 1

So while adding comments to Sashi's Quests I got all inspired to make a Berserk clone with TGB. This will be a good starting point for me to learn it. Stay tuned!!!

Oh... feature list...

1. Everything is combustable - so don't go around blasting everything - you might not be able to get out of the rooms yourself.

2. Big cash prizes!!! Like Smash TV - but the prizes are multipliers like in pinball and weapon powerups.

3. End of level boss.

4. Sort of a grid-wars clone, which is a robotron clone, which is a berserk clone - cool! Full circle.

5. Electronic noises like in Defender - I will produce these using a soft synth.

6. Multiplayer - TGB does multiplayer doesn't it?

7. Development schedule - 40 hours pre-pro, 80 hours game dev, 60 hours bug test, 20 hours release. 2 hours a day, be ready in 100 days - release around mid Sept, early Oct.

Ciao!

Sounds like fun! I played the heck out of Smash TV back in the day.

Also, I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but to answer your question: yes, TGB does have a networking layer.

All good. I heard TGB also does 3d objects. Maybe for the 2d purists I should pre-render sprites for this one though. Turkey Shoot was a good game too. I think I will include elements of that. Especially the gobble button. Maybe have a "stunned mullet" button and all the bad guys just stand there allowing the player to escape/pickup loot/kick tail.
