Well Its been some time since me or my cousin (Nick Zafiris) posted a plan on GG . We have been so busy lately with programming as well as the artwork for Nuclear Nightmare, that not only have we not had a chance to post but to also visit the GG forums (sorry guys). But we just wanted everyone to know that we are still here.
While development started for us way back in the summer of 2004, those early months were mostly a learning experience and getting to know the engine and playing around with the different bells and whistles. Now almost 2 years later we have made a lot of advancement from the programming as well as artistic side.
We are now in the homestretch for finishing up with milestone 1 and it has been a blast so far.
Four more milestones remain for us to complete and each one will be harder than the previous.
We have also contracted out some modeling work for some character sketches that I have made and also some level designers who will help me out because the tasks are getting too great for 2 people to handle.
We will keep the community posted on our progress.

Nice polish. Creepy atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing it in action. Are you using the TLK? I think adding some lighting effects would raise the level even more.

@Retroh - Yes we have the torque lighting kit but the after screenshot is only the regular sun with a sun flare and a corona which is enlarged to give that sunray effect. When we port over to the finished TSE we will be able to take advantage of the dynamic lighting and also the TLK will probably be available for TSE by then too (hopefully) :)

@Jacopo - thanks for your comments.....I try to give every scene a photorealistic look now and hopfully with the lighting kit we will be able to acheive incredible results.@Retroh - Yes we have the torque lighting kit but the after screenshot is only the regular sun with a sun flare and a corona which is enlarged to give that sunray effect. it looks good, but the sky in the first picture could use some work. Other than that, awesome.

I really love the before and after shots - it is a real testament to how far your skills have come. It is coming along nicely it seems, very nice work!

@Maxwell - the first picture max is a before picture and the sky has been totally redone in the new screen
@Anthony - Thanks for your kind words, It has been a real struggle to pick up basically from nothing and start designing. When your just starting out you dont know the first thing about game design and alot of mistakes you make along the way really help you learn.

Looks cool. I love post-apolcalyptic games.

That snapshot is almost photorealistic, and I love the mood and athmosphere.
Excellent work.
