So very very close!

I am now the proud owner of a 13" MacBook (white -- I like the black, but I ain't paying a $150 premium for it!). In the past I've been a late-adopter with Apple's products and as a result, I've been pretty blessed -- no weird design or manufacturing flaws have bitten me. Ever. Now, that will probably change.
There are two possibilities: 1) I will encounter no major issues that impede my ability to use the machine, or 2) I will encounter issues that render my normal usage of the machine difficult or impossible. In the former case, it will replace my 12" G4 PowerBook as my main machine. In the latter case it will join my 14" G4 iBook in my compile farm, and otherwise be used only for doing Windows builds, and QAing Intel/MacOS and Windows builds of my games. That would be a shame though because the brighter screen and extra screen real-estate (wider AND taller than the 1024x768 resolution on my PowerBook) is REALLY nice.
Anyway, I'm hoping to get a new alpha out REAL SOON NOW. I just need to dust off my Windows XP install disc, merge against beta 3, and so forth, and so on... With any luck, by friday I might have a playable demo I can post about for Windows and Mac users, with real music for some of the skins, and nifty Theora video for one.
