First Day At Full Sail...

No not as a student, as a course director. I recently left my position at Valador, a vis/sim company in DC, for the sunny skies of Orlando. I will be teaching their optimization class. Currently, the class focuses on optimizing c++ code, but I hope to supplement it with curriculum that is more focused on FPS, which is not always a direct result of slow application code.
I hope to stay connected with the Garage Games community. The indie developer and a full sail student have a lot in common. 1) They both have dreams and ideas 2) They both cant afford an unreal source license 3) They both love games.
I dont know too much about Full Sail, having acquired my 3D skills on the street. If you have any comments, positive or negative, I would love to hear them. If you are a student, feel free to contact me.

I think the time I spent at FullSail was well spent and that the school properly prepared me for the workplace.
Is Gary still teaching Machine Architecture? He was handling both that and Optimization when I went through the completion program. He was always talking about how he was planning on changing MA to be done with Nintendo DS's. I never heard if that ever went through or not.

Congrats Eric. Do they use Torque at Full Sail?

@Scott - yea, Gary is still teaching Machine Architecture and Optimization. I am going to take over his optimization class in two weeks. He is using the GBA as his platform for MA2.

@BigPapa - some of the guys here use Torque for some of their projects. I'm building material right now, there may be a place in Torque for my class. BigPapa, I remember meeting you in I/ITSEC last December. Hope everything is going well.@Scott - yea, Gary is still teaching Machine Architecture and Optimization.
