The making of another game

As I am waiting for different packs to become available I am mostly working on learning the Torque engine and getting the menus setup and how information is passed from client to server.
For now the game I wnating to create is along the lines of Battlefield 1942 (with modern upgrades) Joint Operations and Gohst Recon. A combination of those games I feel would make a very nice playing game. And so far the Toque game engine is lending itself to allow that.
Right now I am waiting on several upgrades.
Torque AI -
I really need this, so I am not doing much in AI until it is released. I am using AIGuad and AIPatrol to setup levels for game play. So far I like the AIGuard features, but I do not like the feel it gives in gameplay. The lines that check for 360 deg radius is ok in a FPS game, but not really in a tactical game. I only want the player to see me if he is facing me, which means he must move and turn to see me, and I will see him as well. I may try and update the code to see if I can change that a little, at least turn it off.
Torque Constructor -
I am about to purchase 3DGW just so I can create some simple buildings to make the gameplay fun for some testers I have lined up. Right now the standard stonghold map is getting boring. At least the CD version comes with textures and maps I can use with TC when it is released.
Soldier Pack -
I have ordered the Soldier pack and updated the game. I am working on trying to get the max soldier in a format to setup in Blender so I can create additional animations. The Soldier pack is great, but it is limited in the animations it has. Having a croutch and prone animation would be ideal.
Tim Aste Content Pack Combo #2
I order the combo pack and it is awsome. Gives you a lot of good ideas as to what can be done with Torque. However, I did find that when ordering content packs not all packs are equal-:) I found that the soldier pack and the buildings in the combo pack were not the same.
From this pic you can see the problem.
But no big deal, the pack gives some content and ideas. Will be scaling everything to work anyway, just got a giggle when I loaded everything up and my soldier was having a hard time running through the lillies-:)
I will post screenshots and updates when I can.

No... Will have modern tanks, guns etc.. But I see no reason why it couldn't be modded to go either way:)
