GID j - "J" is for "Joe Didn

The good news is that I released the final version of my previous GID on Friday. It's now titled Million Dollar Game Maker and captures all the fun (with none of the fat!) of being a game developer.

The bad news is that I spent a large chunk of the weekend dealing with post-release problems on it. Mostly rookie mistakes, since I'm not used to programming 3-D games. (a funny coincidence, I guess)

With the time I had left in the weekend, I decided to clean up another past GID, A Most Dangerous Crosswalk. I made some good progress on the graphics, then had to go into work for a bit. After that, I got pulled into seeing a concert at the last minute, so I didn't end up finishing the game.

Here's what it looks like so far, though:

I'll probably finish it up in the next couple of weeks.

Had to post. If you haven't downloaded yet do it NOW. This is such a fun little game and hard too. Once I got the hang of it this is as close as I have made it to the million dollars.
www.cartoon-combat.com/misc/million.jpgThe compiler finished the last subroutine I was working on seconds before the time ran out. Dont know what I'm talking about then download. I think with mork work to make the game less of a one shot deal and more of a career based one the game could really be wonderful. Ok enough of my blabbering but one last thing. Did I mention download this, screens can't capture this game.
