New content packs, my first own pack, trip planing

Again it's a long time since my last blog, so after we have some news I will post it.
First of all our new up coming content packs. Surely some of you have read Stefan Moises last blog which shows his and our work for a project. Okay we still can't talk much about the project (but soon we will), but what we have done is packing the first models together and create 3 content packs. Also there will be a content set which contains all 3 packs and offers a discount against the 3 packs.
The theme of the packs will be called "jungle fever" and as you can imaging all the models have to do something with the jungle.
The Content of all 3 packs (and the Set) are:
- 9 Trees each with 3 versions
- 14 bushes and weeds, each with up to 6 versions
- 4 rocks with 5 versions
- 16 foilages
- 7 terrain textures
- 2 water textures
- 3 skyboxes, 1 night, 1 stormy day and 1 sunny day
- 1 waterfall with animations
- and several soundfiles for the forest and river ambient.
The Packs will be at Friday in our webshop
And because each blog needs some pictures here some of the models from the packs.

The second news is that i almost have finished my first content pack. The theme of the pack is western town and will contain 6 different buildings and also some more models. Pictures will follow later.
And the last thing, at the moment i plan a new trip to california this year. Okay i will fly at the end of September, but planing a vacation trip never can start soon enough ;-). Start and end will be San Francisco, the rough tour will be from San Francisco, south to Sequoia and Kings Canyon N.P., than north between Sequoia and Deathvalley to Manzanar N.H.S, Devils Postpile N.M., Mono Lake and trough the Yosemite N.P. via tioga pass. From there up to Carson City, NV and Reno, NV (after 6 times Las Vegas without become millionaire, this time i try Reno ;-)). And if i have enough time i will drive up to the Lassen Vulcanic N.P.
Maybe the tour seems a little bit odd, but this time i try to see the stuff which i missed till now. For example i was 2 times in the Yosemite N.P. but both times the tioga pass were still closed, the same happend when i was in the Lassen Vulcanic N.P..
Also I never see the "backside" area of Yosemite and Sequoia like Manzanar N.H.S., Devils Postpile N.M. or the oldest trees in the white mountains. And from Reno i saw only the skyline when i was heading south to Las Vegas.
My first idea was also to visit Las Vegas and the Zion N.P. (in this park i still miss the "angle landings" tour), but i think then i will run out of time because i have only 3 or 3,5 weeks.
So if you see a crazy german tourist at the end of september till early october in california, maybe it's me ;-).

Zion is a great park. I'm not sure if you can go all the way to the tip of "Angel's Landing" anymore since someone died there a couple years back. I got to it many years ago...it's awesome.

Hey, Sven. The trip you are describing is only about five hours from GarageGames. You should consider routing your trip up through Eugene, OR, and visiting GG.-Jeff Tunnell, GG

I hope so, "Angel's Landing" is one tour we never made in all the years. Last year I was the 5th time in Zion, including one time in the "Kolob Canyons". Last year we couldn't the most trails are closed because of the rain in may. But however Zion is a great park, my favorite are still Shannondoah, Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon and the Arches N.P. (btw, never try to get rooms for 7 people in Moab on a friday afternoon without a reservation ;-)).
Rubes you are from Salt Lake City, did you ever visit the Great Basin N.P. in Nevada ? I ask because this park is off the beaten tracks. I never made it to the park and it should be a great park too.
@Jeff,
do you have fresh hot good coffee in the office ? ;-) After a few weeks through the states I allways begging for a good coffee (sorry don't want to offend anyone but the only enjoyable coffee in the USA can get in the States Washington and Northern Oregon. If some one comes to europe you will know what I mean ;-))
If I have time I will come back to your invitation, I hope someone will be in the office.
@Alan,
The westerntown pack will contain a Saloon/Poolhall, a Barber, an Untertaker, a Bank, a Boutique and a Doctor (okay each of the buildings have signs with the name on it, so if you change the sign and swap the textures you can use them twice). The buildings are DIF interiors if you mean the models itself as interior. But the DIFs are not accessable, all of them are closed. But all buildings are hollow and you get with the pack all QuArK and map files.
At this moment the only accessable Western DIF is our Blacksmith Pack, it also has working doors (3rd mousebutton).
By the way, if you are on a western game. Do you know our Westernplants I and Westernplants II Packs ?

At least you'll be hitting Death Valley in the almost bearable season :) I've had to drive through it too many times in the middle of July.... There is a reason it has that name!

Nice work Sven!

I'm just real curious if your going for the early town look, or the later more established look cause I dig your art.

@Sven - are you using photos for reference so the western buildings have an "authentic" feel. Most computer games that tackle the American west make the buildings "overly pretty". Most towns, like Deadwood or Dodge City, were transient for along time. Clap boards, tents instead of proper buildings, gaps in the slats, etc. Basically rough and tumble. At least until the settlers showed up and built a church and hired a lawman to run the roughnecks out of town. I'm just real curious if your going for the early town look, or the later more established look cause I dig your art.
