Ninjas vs. Pirate

Update
We are at the one week mark from the Ninjas vs. Pirates beta 1 release. Currently some aspects are going real smooth and others are not. Code clean-up has been moving right along, it has been a lot quicker than I anticipated. Animations on the other hand are being a pain. Sometimes it has been real hard to keep in mind that this is a beta release with specific bench marking goals.
The main focus for Beta 1 will be netcode testing. We want to see just how many players the game can support without lag. We are also testing baseline system performance; systems are ranging from low to high end systems. Lastly we will be testing some base functionality.
We have been successful in porting the game over to Mac. If you are interested in testing the game on your Mac, beta testing sign-ups will be posted a bit later. Due to time constraints, we will not have Mac testing until Beta 2. Beta 2 is set to start in approximately 45 days.

A lot of people have been saying, "Hey where are the Ninjas?" Well without further ado, here is your ninja leader:

What did you expect? Ninjas hang out in shadows...
Team
Over the past several months, the team has grown quite a bit. The newest member of the NvP team is Shawn Simas. Shawn has joined the programming team and has already started showing off his talent. I would like to take the time out now to introduce, in no particular order, the people that are helping bring Ninjas vs. Pirates to the public:
Terry Johnson
N.R. Bharathae
Shawn Simas
Michael Rubin
Evi Suryani
Jeff Gran
Matt Damon
"Machine"
Ken Reed
Clare Hallock
Jon Jorajuria
We have also received a ton of help and support from the GG community, associates, and employees.
Closing Information
If all goes well, we will have a go decision for beta 1 release on 04/06/06. Everybody who has signed up for beta 1 will be notified as to the status and where to download the beta 1 package. The new website is still being constructed, however the current "beta" site is running and being updated with information. For those of you interested in beta testing with your Mac, here is the information:
Please send an email to ken.reed@darkcombat.net with the following information:
Your first and last name
Your email address
Your system specifications (processor, mobo, vid card, RAM, etc.)
Connection speed
We will announce the location of the download server about 24 hours prior to testing.

Very nice. I have no interest in Beta testing due to all my own constraints and my own game dev. But I am looking forward to purchasing the final product one day.

Leave me alone!!! I do NOT know Ben Affleck (thank the good Lord), I do not have any money, and I do not know Jason Bourne's real name. I did however, cure cancer.
