Hi everybody, my name's Sam M. I've been a member of the Garage Games community for almost a year now, and this is my first blog post.

So what caused me to get out from under my rock and say hello? Well a couple things actually. First off I just finished my website, and second I've just made my first game! Okay, so one thing at a time. My website contains free games, movies, and Flash animation all made by me. Currently there's only one of each, but it's a start. The address of my site is:
www.roguebotstudios.com
Okay, now about my game. It's called Hot Potato and I made it using the Torque Game Builder (T2D). To be perfectly honest, it's a Pong rip-off. However it's a Pong rip-off with a twist. Instead of a Pong, there's a potato. A potato that catches on fire. A potato that catches on fire and then explodes. It's available for FREE for both Windows and Mac (sorry to all the Linux people out there). Anyway go and download from Roguebot Studios.

Also on my website there's a Machinima movie I made using the game "The Movies" by Lionhead Studios. It's called "Ze Man", and it's quite funny. There's also a Flash animation based off of an alternate ending I wrote for a book because I was bored. Anyway, it's all really good stuff and I think you all should go check it out.

So what's next? Currently i'm going through the book "Game Character Development with Maya" by Antony Ward. I really recommend it to anyone wanting to get better at making 3d models and texturing and animating and the like. I also recently ordered "The Game Programmer's Guide to Torque" so I should be having fun with that soon. I'm also working on a sequel to "Ze Man" called "Ze Stake-out" which should be done soon. Before I go I just want to say I think this is a great community, I really love this engine, and I plan on making more stuff like this and more blog posts in the future. Also if you like my site please tell your friends about it, it's the best way to help me out. Thanks alot.
Sam M,
P.S. Also, here are two screen shots of another TBE game idea I was toying with. The working title is "A Ship Named Melody".
