Official X-Box 360 Developer
This is taken from an email from the CEO of the company I work for Variant Interactive

"The crux of the matter falls to the fact that we are officially
registered and licensed Xbox 360 developers/publishers. That's it. Boom.

We are now, at this point, enabled to put forth concept submissions for portfolio approval toward the Xbox team, which is the first stage of game development for the console. (This applies for both standard games and Xbox Live Arcade games.) It is not until concept approval that we are allowed to purchase a console devkit or test machine.
From that point onward, as they say, it's on."

T2D Animation Editor
I officially declare this project dead. I had no time to work on it at all. But on the bright side, I donated all the code to Garage Games. They will either use it as a base for their own editor or maybe use it as a guide or for inspiration. I can't wait to see what they come up with.

Failure with mobile programming
In my last post i mentioned that i was working on a port of the J2ME version of Push Push Penguin. Well after digging in the 15,000 lines of the c++/Brew source code and getting my feet wet with J2ME, i realized that this was not really my bag. Java has not been on my favorite list for years and i thought that with all of my experience with c++ that porting this over would be a piece of cake. Well i was wrong, I fell flat on my face. I think that i did more work with the c++ code than anything. lol
For future reference ill stay away from java and stick to my guns, C++ and C#.

Cave Story
Some how this slightly secret project i mentioned in my last blog got out to the Cave Story Community. We have a lot of mixed reactions to this project.

variantinteractive.com/forums/index.php/board,6.0.html

About half of the people are happy and the other half fear we will ruin it. We still have not made any progress on it, but today im going to lay down the framework in T2D.

Day job
For the last 6 months I have been getting tons of experience in web development.
Ive been doing tons of template web sites for clients with small budgets to full out custom made sites such as the one we just did for Chrysler.

www.brandspankinused.com

This site has also brought us another job from Chrysler and also tons of other clients, so its safe to say ill be busy at work for a while.

We also been busy doing many internal web based applications for a few Home Builders in Michigan. Anything from doing contracts to figuring out the cost of a house all the way down to the last nail.

Blogging
Sometimes I cant write about what I want to say. For the last hour I had the best .plan ever written, but it was all in my head. Now somehow during the translation of thought to typing I lose out on 80% of the things I have to say. It seems like when I sit down some unknown force just sucks all my blogging thoughts out of my head and in turn I write junk like this. I think a writing class may do me good.
