Plan for Scott Rutledge

Well, I'm back in the world of steady paycheques again. Up with money, down with being poor!

I'm going to be doing 3D Java development for an R&D group. It's almost too good to be true, really. This company is already an established commercial construction, contracting, and building leasing company. They construct commercial buildings with their contractors, then lease/sell the spaces. But the president is really into technology, so he's started a software development group. We get our funding from the rest of the company (which is making money). No schedules, no deadlines, just take one idea at a time and see what we can do with it. If it doesn't work, the company rights the money off as R&D expense, if it does, we'll probably sell it off to someone else to publish. Like I said, it's almost too good to be true. But for now I'm willing to believe it is (true, that is).

Now to learn Java...have they changed much since 1.0? (rhetorical)
