Hey guys. I've been working on modelign a human male model. I'm getting better at using smoothing groups and I'm getting better at modeling the human form.
heres some pics of what I have so far. It's an untextured model, so it won't look as good as it will when its done. And its missing its feet. But i'll get that done sometime soon.
hopefully my geocities bandwidth won't die again.
Arrg. it died again.
ok i'll use image shack.

actually i did use some good reference pictures for this model. I used pictures of myself, and nudes (i photoshopped out a certain part). I fixed the arms and made the head a little smoother. I'm going to reduce the poly count on the fingers.

The long arms are distracting(I would be interested in seeing the revision), but I think the bottom of the chest is bit too low and wide on the torso, and the front hip/crotch area is a bit flat. With the pictured angles I can't really know for sure what's going on there.

Are you modelling off reference? A good site to check out is www.3d.sk (you need to sign up) but it has awesome reference material for the human form, as well as many animals etc
Would also help to see some wireframe views of the model in terms of overall construction and poly useage!
Keep it up though, practice makes perfect!

Also look into my last plan for reference on male human body, should give you a clue how you can improve your model :)
Hope this helps!

I would put in a bit more work into it before unwraping, you need to fix anathomy and polygon flow on this model. Looking at the flow it doesn't look it's going to animate well. My suggestion, go to turbosquid.com and type human and save all pics you find to your hd, then use them as reference. Also look into my last plan for reference on male human body, should give you a clue how you can improve your model :)
Hope this helps!
