Plan for Dave Meddish

Wow, just bring in the fog by fifty percent...wish I'd thought of that...I wonder when they'll be giving out the tin cans and string to speed up the forums...

Hola, senors and senoritas! 'Tis I, The Illustrious Dave "Diamondback" Meddish, wishing you and yours a happy Memorial Day.

For those who have wondered what I've been up to lately, since it's now official, I can now trumpet my latest escapade. Eric "Rated Z" Lanz and I, the finest Tribes Mission Editors on the face of the planet, have latched on (temporarily, it's only a three-month gig) with Inevitable Entertainment, the company doing the port of Tribes 2 to the PlayStation2, to do all the level design for them.

Between the two of us, we're creating the 19-or-so missions for the expanded single player campaign as well as modifying all the existing Tribes2 multiplayer missions for the PlayStation2 (so, to answer your next question, the PC and PS2 versions of T2 will not be compatible, and before you ask, the you can hook up a keyboard and mouse to get your preferred setup, but I understand that the keypad config that Inevitable has cooked up works pretty good once you get used to it).

Don't knock it 'til you try it. Just remember: the PS2 version will not, I repeat, not require patching!

So far, it's been very nice working with the boys in Texas, as they treat us designer types with respect and dignity (something I'm not used to 'round these parts :-)

Hi Dave. Glad to hear you got a little T2 work. You guys need to do a V12 project in your "spare time".

Woo Woo... Congrats on getting some design action. Now if you could only figure out what distance the fog works at. ;)
