IndieGoGo Crowd Funding has been launched. Please help by contributing. http://www.indiegogo.com/re-spawn?a=486548 I am trying the Crowd Funding route as a bit of an experiment ... and we'll see how it goes.

I have just finished uploading some in-game video footage of the Pre-release Game Play Test for Re-Spawn. Thought it might interest someone, and hopefully drum up a little support for the game ... prior to me launching the DEMO and starting my funding drive.

I have been diligently at work for a couple of months now to get the Re-Spawn DEMO ready for release. The primary idea behind the release of the DEMO is to allow me to use it to try and get some funding for the game through IndieGoGoGo. I need about $2,500.00 to finalise the game and release it through Steam - more if I want to Self-publish on my own.

During my month long sabbatical in December 2011, I spent a lot of time reflecting on where I want to go with Gobbo Games and what I want to achieve while getting there ... this reflection was sometimes painful ... but in the end I reached a decision.

It has been a while since I posted a Blog Update, and I thought it would be a good time to post some updates on Soul Wars and its port across to T3D.

Gaelyn had been preparing all his life for this moment, ever since The High Council prohibited Magickal Combat unless taking place in Sanctioned Tournaments he knew this is what he wanted to do with his life. 10 years of Magick School, as the Commoners called it, had finally gotten him to this moment in time ... his first Sanctioned Tournament.

Exactly a month ago I posted about a personal issue that arose and that it had completely sucked the life out of me. Well I are back.

Unfortunately I recently had a personal issue arise and it is not something that I can ignore or just accept and move on. I am therefore going to have to say goodbye ... for now ... but hopefully I will be back ... one day.

Well the design team finalises some of the design elements on Soul Wars, I have been spending some time getting to know T3D 1.0.1 better.

August has been another very busy time for the Soul Wars project and things have sometimes gotten a little heated, but overall good progress has been made. The team has changed quite a bit with a few members going, some new ones joining and the odd member returning. All the while they have definitely been putting in the hours on the design side of things and it is starting to piece together incredibly well.

The Soul Wars project is currently in full swing and our commitment has always been to release it for FREE. This means that there will be NO sign-up fee and NO recurring fee to play. The game will also be advertising free ... so you will just be able to enjoy the game.

I thought it would be a good idea for you to get to know the team better, so I compiled some short "bios" on the team. The team is currently primarily made up of members of the Train2Game forum and almost all of them are doing either the Designer or the Developer course from Train2Game. The calibre of the people in the team is high and they are definitely the right people for the job. So without further adieu, its time to meet the team.

It has been a while since I last updated progress on Soul Wars, the delay is primarily due to NOT being able to get a decent system for Game Mechanics (i.e. Combat rules, Magick rules, etc.) ... well that has now changed. The Soul Wars team is now 5 strong.

Been going through some of the Art and Assets that I have purchased and been playing with them in T3D. Thought it might be a little fun to show some of these tests in my Blogs.

Gobbo Games (http://www.gobbogames.org/) has chosen the Game Mechanics Kit from Logic King (http://www.logicking.com/index.php?page=home) as its preferred solution provider for in-game Mechanics and Physics for all our Torque based games that we will be developing.

Twilight Wars (http://www.twilightwars.org/) is a Modern Combat FPS set in the not too distant future where two nations fight each other for the remaining land and natural resources left throughout the planet. Both nations have become extremely powerful and have been in conflict with each other for that last 10 years with no singular nation getting the upper hand over the other.

Although Soul Wars (http://www.soulwars.org/) is being released for FREE and can be downloaded from the site on the release date, I decided to make some DVD media available for purchase. Here is the Box Cover I came up with.

Unfortunately due to some technical issues that have arisen in the last few days I am going to have to delay the release of Soul Wars - Lite (http://www.soulwars.org/) until a later date. I am extremely grateful for the interest shown thus far and I am very proud of what has been achieved so far. To celebrate the release date announcement I have updated the player races gallery and added a new gallery with a few sneek peeks into the GUI for the game.
