Eight years ago someone sold a triple-A game engine for $100. It was such an incredible idea it lasted eight years. Today it died because the rest of the world caught up and evolved.

We've been beavering away on our export-to-youtube functionality. The general idea is that once you finish a game, if you like it, then you just click on button and the game gets encoded to a video and straight to youtube.

We've just released our first trailer, and we're getting some pretty nice comments on it! It's been a pretty crazy ride getting here, and there's still some way to go... but it feels great to get it out there and get some nice comments on it.

Hey guys. Frozen Synapse is getting close to release and we're trying to get some attention on ModDB. If anyone feels especially like giving me a christmas present, a vote would be really appreciated!

An open-sourced TGE would revitalise the community and provide a significantly larger possible client base for T3D. I think absolutely everyone wins. Please take this as a massive "Yes" vote from me.

Hey guys. We've just released episode 20 of our weekly games-and-industry podcast Visiting The Village, and as usual I'd really love it if you guys could take a listen and tell me what you think. Everyone's been pretty positive so far: our snappy, informed (somewhat...) approach has been well received.

A lot has been made of how bad death is in games, and “modern” design often points in the direction of trying to remove death. I believe that this does not apply for heavily generative and score-based games.

Reinvention is hard, and GG have had to deal with a lot of criticsm in the last two months. I'm posting to congratulate them - for what it's worth, I believe that we're seeing some great decision making in action.
